Terms and conditions



BikingPeople organizes and sells its own tours as well as represents Danish tour operators and promotes and facilitates the sale of the tours they organize and operate. 


Reservations and deposit

Your booking is subject to availability and is not confirmed until we have emailed you a formal confirmation. Please do not make non-changeable travel plans until you receive your confirmation.


A deposit of 20% of the tour price is charged when we send you a tour offer (Quote), minimum 200 Euro/person. The remaining outstanding amount is payable upon receipt of our tour confirmation, and no later than 5 weeks prior to your tour start.


Methods of payment

We accept bank transfer and payment with international payment cards as quoted on our website. Account details is forwarded to you via email.

Any charges that may occur in connection with the transfer lie with the customer.


Cancellation by you

Cancellations must be made to BikingPeople in writing via email. Please note that tour operator cancellation fees usually increase as the tour date approaches.


  • Received more than 30 days before your holiday’s start date – a canellation fee of 200 Euro/person).
  • Between 29 & 16 days before your holiday’s start date – loss of 80 percent of the total tour price.

  • Less than 15 days before your holiday's start date – loss of 100 percent of the total tour price.

  • No refunds will be made once the holiday has started.


In the event of a partial cancellation of a room (e.g. only 1 of the 2 persons cancels), the remaining person can be charged a price difference (e.g. single surcharge). This fee will be due as soon as possible and before the start date of the tour.


Cancellation by the tour operator

Should BikingPeople/the tour operator for any reason cancel your tour, you are entitled to a refund of funds paid toward the tour.


Changes made by you

In case the you ask for any kind of alteration of the already confirmed tour package, you are obliged to pay a change fee of € 30/person. A reduction in number of participants or a change in the dates will be considered as a cancellation and will therefore be subject to the cancellation fees.


Limitation of liability

The responsibility of BikingPeople is strictly limited. By submitting a booking request through BikingPeople, you agree that you will not hold BikingPeople liable for any accident, injury, costs, property damage, theft or personal loss.

You assume all risks associated with bicycle riding such as for example falls, the effect of the weather, traffic, and conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by you.


Equipment

For the duration of your bike holiday we offer you additional services such as a bicycle of good quality and related equipment at your disposal against a rental charge. Take care that the equipment is not damaged or stolen. Any loss, damage or theft of equipment must be paid at the end of the tour on the basis of the supplier’s statements.


In the event you rent a bike, the bike will be completely maintained and checked before your arrival. We ask you to check whether your bike is in full working order before first use and to check it before each stage. Any defects should be reported to us/the tour organizer without delay.


If you bring your own bike, we are not responsible for mechanical problems - so make sure that your bike is fully functional.


Tour material and roadmaps that are handed to you upon your arrival to the hotel are only for your own use, and may not be copied, scanned or published to third parties.

 

Luggage

Each participant may bring one piece of luggage of max 15 kilos. No single item must weigh more than 15 kilos. The total number of luggage must be the same during the tour.

 

Accommodation

Rights are reserved to offer alternative accommodation, which will be of a similar standard.
